SGT Johnson actually earned her badge in 1996. Since her, 2 other female Soldiers (Sentinels) have earned the Tomb Guard Identification Badge.

Not a problem sir. I thought it was a new development myself but a Google search revealed the information.

I do believe there is a fourth woman who has achieved this honor. As one who is height deficient, more power to them (and their genes!).

I follow, I'd apparently erred on the date, as a cpl of others on here mentioned to me, it was 1996, I'd gathered, I honestly thought it was recent, still it was a great photo, certainly, in any event, many thanks.

Capt Daniel Goodman upon research I see this happened back in 1996. I did not realize they had a female guard and I also thought the guards had to be infantry? Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
