I absolutely respect Officer Norman and his wife for what the are doing WITHIN the community. He knows these children by name and they respect his authority. Let me rephrase that. Lol everyone respects his authority, but Mya. Lol she appears to have him wrapped around her finger. I absolutely love this!
Officer Norman does not mind going by on his days off and "chilling" with the neighborhood. He knows their language and the respect his. I wish more officer were like this and more communities trusted officers to be like this.
When Officer Norman was asked why hasn't he spoken out about the office in the Philando Castile case his response spoke volumes. He stated "Officer Norman can not speak on the situation if Officer Norman wants to keep his job. Pray and know that I understand and I'm here to make a difference."

This is absolutely beautiful. This is what true police work is about. You have to know and respect the people that you have sworn to protect and to SERVE!
