I have met and got to know many Vietnam Veterans. Some of the stories are heartbreaking. Several I met recently are homeless. Thank goodness for private organizations that are willing to help.

I have several friends who are dead now, at their own hand. The suicides came completely out of the blue. Several were in PTSD group with me and never showed any sign about taking their own lives. It really breaks your heart when they do that, and you think back to what's been said, and did you say anything that might have contributed to their suicide. I think a suicide is the strangest thing a person can do because they seem to be spur of the moment.

SGT (Join to see) - This is very interesting . . . and outstanding research opportunity . . . with potential application to treating the problem. Warmest Regards, Sandy

Capt Tom Brown - This would certainly be appropriate for either intramural or extramural research funding by VA, DoD, DoD CDMRP, or NIH NIMH programs. In my opinion, the best approach may be to persuade a Congress Critter ( preferably Senator ) this should be a targeted priority for DoD to offer funding for University Research through the DoD CDMRP program. Warmest Regards, Sandy

SGT (Join to see) - Your awesome brother , there really is the enemy out there trying to eat our lunch ... Jesus forgives and Im sure you know that but we are the hardest critics on ourselves because we have a hard time forgiving ourselves .. but cling to hope for we wrestle against principalities , powers , and darkness A guerrilla warfare in the spirit so give the devil so many knots on his head he feels like he is surrounded ....

I think you're awesome too SGT Robert George. You're a good friend and a good Christian man. Thanks for your encouraging words. I'm embarrassed to be talking about this.

SGT (Join to see) - No, you have not brought me down. For me, I have been helped by yourself and others on RallyPoint. We are all brothers and sisters trying to make our way.

Sgt (Join to see), That would be my worst nightmare brining you or any other RP member down to my level. I need to pay more attention to what I write, and yes we are all brothers and sisters in all of this together. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you Maj William W. "Bill" Price. I won't stop posting but sometimes I get carried away with my feelings and I don't consider others feelings. Thank you so much for being from a younger generation and able to see things in a different light.
