What a dumb ass. If there is one medal I'm glad I never earned, it's the Purple Heart. I can only imagine how much it hurts to get shot (or injured seriously enough to warrant a PH).

I opted for an "Army," Licence Plate, but didn't even realize they also give them to requesting non Veterans / non service persons. Some request it because they are supportive of a family member in that branch of service. To each their own. I imagine everyone in life has done something someone would be proud of. Courtesy is a given, admiration is relative, & respect should be earned.
