Holy shit. So what is forbes saying about the military? I guess this is why SECDEF is pushing for lateral commission all the way up to O6 to bring in fresh talent to the military. I was once told that the military retains the average 70%, the top 15% get frustrated and leave and the bottom 15% get kicked out. I sure hope that wasnt an accurate statement, but it appears forbes may be on to something.

Wow! My Army is 7 for 10. And, yet I still choose to work here.
Still the best job in the WORLD and I wouldn't give it up until I am forced out for retirement.

Read the article. Here's the difference between the military and the civilian world.... we are in the business of destroying and killing the enemies of the United States. A lot of social graces fall behind in accomplishing this. I never felt like I was working in a toxic environment. Sad that this idea has any credibility.

Sir - not sure about credibility and I agree that our business... Fighting and winning America's wars... demands different standards. Army leadership is best when leaders have embraced Army Values. I've witnessed each one of these examples in the Army. What comes to mind when I read this is: our transitioning troops are entering a world completely foreign world when they finally hang up the uniform. It echoes the importance of organizations that bring veterans and the community together, such as Team RWB.
