Brexit isn’t about economics. It’s about xenophobia.

Being as how Britain hasn't announced any changes to its immigration policy except that someone coming from Europe will need to go through customs I don't know how you can claim xenophobia. Immigration concerns were only a part of the issue. They saw the EU as an attempt to restore the Roman Empire. The people of the UK didn't want that. Also the EU is a dying trade block with a shrinking average GDP. Why would any country tie itself with regulations from a dying trade alliance when they will undoubtedly still be allowed to trade with every other country. If they want to trade with the US, the only businesses that must follow US regulations are the ones selling to the US. To trade as a member of the EU, all businesses regardless of whether or not they do business with European countries must follow EU regulations on top of British regulations and those of the countries they're selling to.

Why does every disagreement result in phobia. That doesn't sound like tolerance to me. It sound like I have no argument you are afraid of the premis.

Enforcing your border is not xenophobia it is sovereignty. Not wanting a foreign body to dictate your sovereignty to you is not xenophobia it is independence.
