Do anything that interrupts services such as power or gas in the coldest months could kill many people. Crash the stock market and put millions in turmoil would be a good example.

Thanks for posting. This article is right up my commander's alley. We've talked several times about cyber warfare and whether or not it exists in any truly definable way. His position is that there are too many organizations and people with a vested interest in promoting cyberspace as a combat domain. I concur up to a point, but believe that cybersecurity itself isn't dependent on defining specific incidents as acts of war. Rather, it's simply a necessary part of defense.

Cyber warfare and kinetic ware fare are one and the same, they are part of the same strike package. Part of a weapons system. Deny electronic assets and then warheads to foreheads. It is a system.
