Let's see how long they last. A bunch of soft prima donna's. It will not take long even with air conditioning and catered food and all kinds of flattering coverage.

LTC (Join to see) they are in violation of their oath of office that clearly states "I will support and defend the constitution" They should be impeached, and kicked out like the disgraces that they are. That doesn't just go for them. It goes for all in the House and Senate who have taken that oath, and yet seem perfectly willing to allow our rights to be whittled away in the interest of "safety"

SP5 Christine Conley It's the right of the people to keep and bear arms that is not to be infringed, not the right of the states to have militias.
Your understanding of "well regulated" is not what the Framers meant when they wrote the term. For example, a well-regulated clock is one that works properly and keeps time properly, not one that conforms to all the latest California safety regulations.

SP5 Christine Conley What are you talking about? That IS the original wording. The 2nd Amendment hasn't changed since it was adopted as part of the Bill of Rights.
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
A well-regulated militia is a group of people who are proficient in the use of arms, meaning they have to have weapons that function well, and they have to have the skills to use them well.
