What role can we play in the transformation of the U.S. Army?
My question to all of you is, how would you influence how the U.S. Army thinks about the future?
From June 20 to 25, the U.S. Army science and technology community will be running their latest futures game, sponsored by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Research & Technology) in partnership with the Institute for Creative Technologies at the University of Southern California.
Through this game, participants will be able to share their ideas about the future, “build” concepts for technologies that might emerge over the next 30 years, collaborate to improve (and challenge!) concepts contributed by other players, and bid on their favorite concepts through an in-game marketplace.
A successful game depends on having a talented, diverse group of players who are eager to think differently about thorny issues at the intersection of science, technology, and defense. That’s why player involvement is so important. Even if defense isn’t a person’s arena (actually, especially if it isn’t), their ideas about the future can help shape how the Army thinks about the future and influence over $2 billion a year in science and technology investments.
You can learn more and register for the June game here.
All players will receive access to a digital library of concept art inspired by the ideas and concepts generated during the game. Top players will also receive a high-quality print piece that brings their best submissions to life through full-color graphics.
Cheers!
