The guy that wrote that article used a lot of emotional language. Further, there are bits in there that he asserts that are simply not true. He states declaratively that Mateen was a radicalizaed Muslim, but the original article says that the FBI is still investigating that and that his family said that he wasn't particularly religious. And bringing out laws from Iran and Saudi as examples is like comparing Hitler to everything; yeah, it's pretty bad. Those are the literal two worst places in the world to be gay and are not typical of everywhere. And while I understanding that radicalized Muslims are the ones that are doing the attacks, and that they are super bloody and get lots of media exposure, they are NOT typical of Muslims in general. Most Americans have consumed maybe 300 Muslims through media, etc., and there are millions of them. You are seeing the absolute worst of the worst, and the only difference between this shooting and a whack-job Republic shooting an abortion doctor (which has happened) is the scale. Extremes are bad, and most people don't live on them.

Why should LGBT conspire with right wing religious nuts to vote against those who have always stood for their rights? They should not. Given the opportunity the extremists Christian extremists would have done the same thing that happened in Orlando. It's not like Christians have executed gay people before.

He doesn't support me marrying who I want. I also live in a state where people throw the bible in your face.
