Women Veterans in Texas - there is a first time opportunity available for an all Women Veteran Honor Flight. You can volunteer, donate or participate.

"On October 7-8 2016, Honor Flight Austin will be taking our first All Women Veteran Honor Flight!

We are taking women who served in WWII Statewide, Korea and VietNam Veterans who reside in the 14 surrounding Counties of Austin to be honored for their service. The specific Women Veteran Application can be found on http://www.honorflightaustin.org/forms/.

Please help us spread the word and we look forward to receiving their applications to join us this Fall!"

The Honor Flight Austin mission is to transport veterans with a specific priority to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices and return them home to their families and loved ones.

Of all of the wars in recent memory, it was World War II that truly threatened our very existence as a nation and as a culturally diverse, free nation. It is estimated that 550 World War II veterans are dying each day, our time to express our thanks to these brave men and women, is running out.

Honor Flight Austin is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

"The Spring 2015 Honor Flights were very successful with our Inaugural “Not Forgotten” and “Welcome Home” Honor Flights honoring our Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans. We are continually humbled with those who choose to honor our Veterans by giving them a “Trip Of A Lifetime.”

Our WWII Veterans will continue to receive first priority. We are asking for your help finding every willing and able World War II Veterans in Texas so we can fly them to Washington D.C., free of charge, to see their WWII Memorial.
