Mr. Mudd is considered an expert in all things pertaining to the Middle East, but why? He holds two degrees in English which have nothing to do with foreign policy or terrorism. He has zero military experience involving this part of the world. He started out as an analyst and then moved up the bureaucratic chain accordingly by obviously playing the game because it had nothing to do with his background or practical experience.
