The author of the cited article makes the mistake of using the results of the "average soldier". The average soldier is not shooting up a bunch of unarmed civilians who may be initially unaware of the attack, in a night club. Additionally people may have fallen and chosen to "play dead". They would be easy targets for coup de grace shots, as he advanced.

But think, one armed man against some 100 or so victims? Not one of them had a means of protection?
