CPO Andy Carrillo, MS I normally don't down vote things I disagree with.
First problem: There is no point to the article. It is just a bunch of random information with pictures of guns.
Second problem: We just had a national tragedy. Can't people just take five minutes to be a human fucking being before they decide to write garbage like this.
Third problem: Assault is a verb it is not an adjective. A rifle is a rifle an assault is an assault a rifle is not an assault rifle. The day that a firearm stands up on its own and begins shooting people, then the term assault weapon can be used. Until then, stop. It makes one appear ignorant.
Fourth problem: the photos in the article were not of the actual make and model of weapons used by the gunmen being referenced. "Note: Information on the precise version or year of manufacture of each gun was not always available, so a version of the model is shown. The handguns used by Christopher Harper-Mercer are omitted because the models have not been released. The guns shown for Adam Lanza do not include the gun he used to shoot himself."

I would be interested to see statistics on shootings that occurred with illegally obtained firearms. One of the cited examples was a straw purchase, but I'd still like to see more. Seems like I have some research to do!

Head up to Chicago...reason illegally obtain shootings is not documented like this is because there are too many and does not paint a picture of failing gun laws that need more.
