Seems to me that California just wants military members to have decreased quality of life and die premature deaths. Bravo California!!

Finally a GI gets an exemption. I have always felt that active duty military personnel should be exempt from any law with a minimum age of 21. In my opinion, if you can carry a weapon in defense of this country at 18, you should be able to buy a beer anywhere. I don't have an issue with enforcing the age requirements for civilians. May not seem fair, but neither is life. I was 19 when I went into the Air Force. The law was 21 for alcohol. I was at the airport in Denver for a flight home for a leave. The waitress asked me what I wanted to drink, I said Coke. She said 'how about a beer." I told her I was only 20, she said " If your old enough to wear that uniform, to me your old enough for a beer." Never forgot that.
