Damn, the headline gave me hope that the Green Party was offering a "home" for Bernie. Sadly, they don't want Bernie, they only want his votes. Well, duh, so does everyone else

SSG (Join to see) - ...these are the product of progressives infiltrating both parties, our institutions of education, and our government.

CPT Jack Durish - So it all comes down to those darn people who want to make the world a better place by reducing pollution, increasing consumer protections, improving the lot of working people, expanding civil rights and liberty... who want everyone to have health care coverage, who want families to be able to afford to eat decent food, who want everyone to be able to get a decent education and don't mind paying additional taxes to promote the general welfare.

SSG (Join to see) - Obviously, the progressives have the corner on good intentions. They simply can't conceive that others want those same things and differ only in the means to the end. However, the projects and programs of the progressives have run rampant in American for more than one hundred years and in that time every attempt has failed to produce the desired results. The problem? In their eyes, we just weren't progressive enough. If only we had done more, it would have worked. That's why they'll never learn from their mistakes. They don't see them as mistakes. They blame their failures on others.

TSgt Joshua Duplin - If the Green party isn't on the ticket or they lean more towards Libertarian values then definitely, any third party is better than the big two.

I see potential with this party if they can find some one that will steal democrats and republican voters, if it happens then congress is next.

MSG Stan Hutchison - All politics are local. The Green Party and others such as the Libertarians need to focus on community, municipal, and country offices. Then work their way up, This is how the Democratic Party rose to power. It is where the GOP is succeeding these days. It is where politicians are made.

CPT Jack Durish - The GNC and the DNC are more focused on organizing their corporate contributors than we the people.

CPT Jack Durish - The Green (and Libertarian) party problem is the same one faced by Sanders early in his campaign, no one had ever heard of him. Once people understand the differences between the Green, the Libertarian, the Democrat and the Republican platforms they will at least begin to have some decent choices. I also think it unlikely that in such an environment, Democrats would be foolish enough to put forward someone like Hillary Clinton or Republicans another Donald Trump.

Even if they did offer Bernie a seat....

We shouldve learned our lesson with Ross Perot.

Anytime there is a third party its to spoil one of the other parties chance to win. Historically its always been to keep a Republican from winning. Look to Bill Clinton, who won with a minority.

In this cane, Im not sure who would be the looser: Republicans or Dems. I guess youd have to follow the money to find out.....

Hopefully both parties will be the loosers. In a perfect world a third party candidate will take office. For me, preferably Johnson.

I'd take any 3rd party candidate over Trump or Clinton, even though I would prefer Stein to Johnson. That said, the objective needs to be to destroy the two party monopoly/duopoly on power. We can't do that if we all continue to support the two party system.
