Ok Sloppy soldiers! I for one am against this change as it makes a poor impression up the civilian populace. Yes; I understand that is a hassle to take off your jacket and place in the overhead compartment. I always thought that seeing SM's in their dress uniform always looked sharp when travelling. I know its old an old uniform change 2015. As I travel and see soldiers in ACU's they don't impress me as someone who is in Dress Uniform. What are your thoughts

Force protection: You are supposed to look like you are part of the population. Wearing your ACUs on a flight, terminal, or in Taxi make you stand out and also makes you a target. Soldiers should never travel in ACUs unless they have no other recourse. Traveling from a deployment (combat zone/emergency leave) should be the exception to the rule. Otherwise fly in civilian clothing so you blend in. Sorry, but that is how it is in the Marine Corps. Keeping America safe for 240 years. Semper Fi.

I have to agree with force protection, but as we know if there is a serious incident on board an airline you can and will be found out as being in the military ie. dog tags, ID cards.

Ok, you put the uniform on once you got there. You didn't physically wear it on the plane.
