Fort Riley prayer breakfast called off; controversial retired 3-star was set to speak

Has it really come to this... a retired 3-star of some extraordinary fame as a Delta Force Commander is not allowed to speak at a prayer breakfast? The troops at Ft. Riley are "weeping " because of this invitation? Lord help us if this is what we are coming to. Leaders who fail to lead and stand up for the Constitution, a break with the sacred bond of the Brotherhood of Arms, the warrior ethos disintegrating into "weeping" soldiers who cannot withstand thoughts and ideas that they may not agree with. Can you imagine having to tell such limp d**k's that some day they might have to assault a machinegun position... and having them "weep" over the prospect. There might even be a determined jihadist behind that machinegun and it might hurt his feelings if we were to shot at him... The General speaks to issues that are current and relevant. Agreement with what he has to say is not mandatory but letting him speak is what I served for and I suspect many of you did the same. This is a disgrace to the Army's leadership. You need to pay attention... the enemy is winning. Slowly but surely they are winning... and we will wake up one day and say..."How the hell did this happen"?
