Generals Patton and MacArthur. They knew how to fight to victory.

Way back in 1976 I worked for a SGT Gomez. He was a very professional , very hard , but very caring leader. He was a Vietnam vet, Black-belt in Tao Kwan Do, And a very professional trainer and leader. He pushed us hard, trained us Hard and forced us to improve our self. I wish I could find him to thank him for all of his dedication and hard work he put in training us to be combat soldiers. I feel he was the primary one that changed me from a kid trainee to a professional Soldier. He was promoted and PCS'ed to Germany I think, from the A co 27th Airborne Engineers. 2nd Shop!

Absolutely amazing read ma'am. If I had to pick one of the leaders mentioned in the article it is Steve Jobs hands down. His vision placed his company at the forefront of technology and his philosophy continues to make Apple one of the most successful businesses today. Having the vision to push the limits often makes a huge difference in leaders.

As a signal officer we often have to have vision on how to use the newest technology. My company commander made it a point to be the first unit in the army to integrate WIN-T Inc 1 into the CS-14 equipment and after many long days we finally succeeded. His vision made that possible. That is why I think that vision is the most important.
