Thanks for sharing an uplifting story Capt Seid Waddell
It is wonderful that 94-year-old 42nd Infantry Division Army veteran Sid Shafner, is back in the U.S. after a stirring eight-day trip to Israel and Poland last week and that he was honored at a Holocaust remembrance ceremony for his hand, as a young troop, in helping to liberate some 30,000 prisoners from the Dachau Concentration Camp in southern Germany in 1945. I am glad that he was reunited with one of those prisoners 90-yera-old Marcel Levy who was 19 when he was rescued, now 90.

This is why it is important for us to do what we do. Good people and countries get taken over by bad people. The United States, historically, has been the country that has stood up and stopped these monsters. We must continue to be the country who fights for them.

SFC Wade W., it is unfortunate that this is not taught in schools as much as it should be.
