Is this yet another reason to keep them out of the country? Can a country that allows "Gay Marriage" REALLY be Christian? If this goes ahead will America find itself flanked on BOTH the North and the South by countries who are determined to destroy traditional marriage? Will a tin foil helmet REALLY help you if you are hit on the head by a falling acorn?

Why don't you take your hate elsewhere. Seriously. Nobody here wants you to state your bigoted opinion like its fact. Truth is, I 'm just as much a proud Veteran as you, and I couldn't be happier about same-sex marriage. And, I could give a crap less about the so-called Christians who oppose it. You're kind are a vintage model, and you're rusting away quickly.

Agreed. My sister and her wife are very happy together, and very good for each other. I never could figure out why this was supposed to be a bad thing, and ended up leaving the church I grew up in over it.

Blah, more of this "Traditional Marriage" Non sense. You do realize that the there is NO such thing, that's marriage is an indefinable term, and that your "traditions" are outdated.
All traditions change over time, (Yes, even those associated with faith do) and we are in an amazing time where we are starting to see change happen all around us. If someone chooses to scurry away from that change and live in fear then so be it, the sky may be falling in your world, but in ours not in ours. You are always welcome to join us

Do you think that allowing same sex marriages in Mexico will cut down on the rate at which illegal aliens are entering the U.S. from Mexico? Hey, that might be why they're all coming here. It's obviously not for the high-paying jobs.

On the other hand, it might be interesting to see if the RCC resurrects a "traditional practice" and "excommunicates" an entire country until its leadership does what the RCC tells it to do. [This is sort of like imposing a total embargo on a country (let's get silly and say "Cuba") until that country's government adopts the economic milieu and government philosophy of the country imposing the embargo (let's stay with silly and say "The USA" decides that the embargoed country has given in to the demands of the embargoing country and then "normalizing" relations because "The Bad Guys" are no longer running the embargoed country.]

Col. Ted: Guess I missed the target with my Cartel/Military tounge-in-cheek comments. Thinking along the lines of seeing 2 hard core drug runners holding hands in marital bliss as they move drugs across the boarder. Kind of the same image for the Mexican Spec Ops taking them on... I just don't think it is culturally ingrained in either organization. No social engineering in the Cartels or Military-they are manly men... I think you got it with the Pope quip. You just took it further then I chose to. I will try harder next time.
