That was a fantastic article putting flesh on the different strata of America. I did not know how precarious to be middle class.

Definitely a bit startling at how ill-prepared most members of our society are for dealing with a setback using just their own resources, isn't it CPT Joseph K Murdock?

I surely did not know the financial pressures put on or accepted by so many families.

It's not just about me. The economy is more important than any one person, even me. The American economy is so anemic that our military is becoming weaker by the day. Our adversaries and potential adversaries are becoming emboldened. Less than 50% of our air force can be deployed in combat. We have carriers sitting dockside waiting for repairs. We're "laying off" valuable personnel assets. If a real war broke out, the quartermasters would have to go begging at Social Security and the IRS to borrow ammunition they're stockpiling there. And the government keeps lying about the "recovery" to help reelect their bosses who vote them ever better wages and benefits. No, the only ones flourishing these days are the politicians and the bureaucrats.

Fearful, Concerned of Course. Tired of Corporate Welfare but I have no problem with helping those in Need. Pretty Much always been my attitude.
