Kernel Backdoor found in Gadgets Powered by Popular Chinese ARM Maker

This is not the first time a chip manufactured overseas has been found with either a loophole or trojan. The question, we as Americans need to ask is, why are we still allowing our technology to be built in countries that either don't like us or have so little regulations and controls set in place to prevent this from happening? With the widespread proliferation of technology in our everyday lives, the potential for disaster if it is abused is huge. It really saddens me to continue seeing loopholes, exploits, and malicious code being introduced into the wild when it could have been prevented. Nothing in technology is 100%, but that doesn't mean we have to settle for subpar.
