not in Texas,d but if you want to see WWII german and Italian Graves at US Army Bases, go to the back gate (Grovetown) at Ft Gordon. They have (or had) a sizeable one. The Council General from the German Consulate in Atlanta used to come down yearly for a small ceremony. During the VN period, some of the old cinder block barracks used by the "Instant NCO" program had German instructions on the inside walls. They were faded, but easily recognized.

Fort Leonard Wood, MO has a refurbished WWII company area that serves as a museum, and one o fate barracks was recreated as a POW barracks (POWs were housed at Ft. Leonard Wood).
Most of the POWs were sent out on work details to support local businesses and some even made close-enough friends with those they worked for that they later returned on vacation for visits.
Interesting stories.
