Guilty or innocent, don't leave anyone behind.
If he was innocent, he deserved to come back home.
If he's guilty, then he needs to go to trial and serve his sentence.

CPO Bill Towart - The particulars of the trade don't matter to me. They could have let everyone out of Guantanamo bay and sent a submarine to pull Bin Laden's body out of the abyss. He's an American servicemember. He needs to come back home.
Now he's here, if he's guilty of treason, hang him high, I'll pull the cord myself.
On a completely related note, I have thought about the issue. I just don't care as much about a future "maybe" as I do about the past "definite", that being an American soldier definitely not being under military control.

Rallypoint members never fail to disappoint when it comes to critically looking at what they read. This article is 13 months old and people are responding to it like it came out today. A lot has changed since then. Like the fact that his court martial is scheduled for this August and he is charged with desertion and misbehaving before the enemy. NOT treason.

This has been a public service announcement by your local PSYOPer who encourages everyone to read carefully what they see before getting all worked up about it ;)

Carry on. I heard there's a new Hillary email thread on the site somewhere! That's sure to have new facts! :)

You didn't read the question that I asked with the post, LTC Michael Mathews! Yes the article was written earlier, but the question I asked was asked yesterday. Now who disappointed?

Sgt Joe LaBranche - well, it's fine if you want to post a headline from a year ago like it's current news, and get responses. But the people I was primarily addressing where the ones who responded as if it were happening today, or as if he actually was charged with treason which he wasn't.

People don't post things like "it's about time!" And "what took so long" or talk about treason if they realized your article was a year old. So good job. You fooled them! If the out of date article had no relationship to your question, why did you even post it?

Why did it take so long? Did they think he was a Clinton?
