No kind of Republican I've ever met would vote for her. Absolutely not. Some might sit the election out, I could see that happening, but the revulsion a patriot would feel at actually pushing that button or pulling that lever would be nearly impossible to overcome.

CPT Jack Durish - Captain; I wouldn't have the gold fillings extracted from my teeth to bet on it.

COL Ted Mc - Anyone who bets on this election should keep in mind the wisdom that "A fool and his money are soon parted". There is nothing in history on which to bass any assumptions. No poll is going to help either. They were wrong the last time and they will be right this time only on the basis of luck. I simply am engaging in wild speculation, just like everyone else...

oh yes they will. Sadly many folks in this country would vote for their respective D or R candidate w/o even a real thought. Considering how many Bernie supporters are demanding ever more handouts, they'll vote for the one who promise them the most. So far that's him but they'll vote Hitlery over Trump even if most of his policy "plans" are little different from hers.

I think the real underling story here is the paradigm shift in American politics. The American two party political system is in trouble and we will see more and more political outsiders in the coming years. Congress is to blame for all the stagnation and infighting. However people will say just about anything when prompted.

Democratic, Republican Identification Near Historical Lows
Independents (42%) continue to greatly outnumber self-identified Democrats (29%) and Republicans (26%) in the U.S. The percentage of Democrats is at a historical low, while Republican identification is slightly above its recent low.

COL Ted Mc - "...absolutely refusing to consider any proposal if it comes from the other party REGARDLESS of how good that proposal is."
This really doesn't cause a dichotomy with conservatives. Republicans occasionally come up with bad proposals, but Democrats never come up with good ones.

COL Ted Mc - Jesus Christ would be far too conservative for Republicans, and far too caring and compassionate for Democrats. He also proves what true conservatives have always known; that there is absolutely no conflict between the two.

Maj Rob Drury - Major; Agreed.
Not only that, but it doesn't cause a dichotomy with "liberals" because Democrats occasionally come up with bad proposals, but Republicans never come up with good ones.
Admittedly this can cause some brain strain when a member of Congress has to try and remember who proposed which of two identical pieces of legislation in order to tell which one is "brilliant" and which one is "disastrously unconstitutional".
PS - I tend more toward the traditional definitions of "liberal" (which is NOT to be confused with "Democrat") and "conservative" (which is NOT to be confused with "Republican). Those traditional definitions can be (roughly) paraphrased as "A 'Liberal' is prepared to allow other people more freedom than you think they should have and a 'Conservative' wants to preserve more of what is good about society than you think is needed.".
Operatively, there would be no changes in society if it wasn't for the "Liberals" (that means that America would not exist as a country) and none of the screw-ups that invariable occur when change happens would ever get fixed if it wasn't for the "Conservatives".
