Both my wife and I and our kids. Spent way too many years separated and way too many moves. It is neat that there will be a day recognizing the sacrifices made by the kids of our military personnel.

I was born a brat, as were my 2 sisters and 2 brothers. We lived in Texas, Michigan, Germany, Colorado, and Taiwan (Republic of China). Nice to see some "brat recognition". The frequent moves and international travel give brats advantages in multicultural and multisocial educational settings that most Americans never experience. Over the years I played with or went to school with Mexican kids, German kids, and kids from all over Asia in overseas international school - with exposure to language, food, and culture. I have no memories of being "settled in" to any one place.
