LTC Thomas Tennant Part of holding a CCW/CCDW permit, and carrying a weapon, is knowing which states have reciprocity for gun carry with your state.

I agree because that is a fact of life that should not even be a consideration. You driver's license grants you the privilege's to drive a vehicle. The emphases is on PRIVILAGE. We should not need a permit to exercise our RIGHTS which are enumerated in the ten Bill of Rights of our Constitution. But because of politics we have a patchwork of laws infringing on our 2 Amendment rights. Can you explain that without showing any political bias?

State “concealed handgun carry” reciprocity is not difficult to understand. It works much like State motor vehicle license reciprocity. Presently, 18 States do recognize the validity of unrestricted concealed handgun carry licenses issued by other States. Most States, unfortunately, do not.

Recognition of unrestricted concealed handgun carry license reciprocity by all the States would help eliminate the problem of inconsistent gun laws existent between and among the States and, too, relieve a law-abiding American from the burden of acquiring and holding multiple concealed handgun licenses.
