Resync is probably the most mature out of the whole platforms listed there.. I been using it since 1999.. although I am no longer hands on, I haven't been able to keep up what is good anymore.

I assumed that after the writer listed how many articles they've done on Resync already. However, I like to learn the GUI alternatives first before advancing. That way, I can help other beginners when I'm more advanced. I've still yet to take the leap to Arch.

Backups = saftey if you backups are on a separate network. If someone Compromises your system and your backups are on that network it's not going to help that much.
