It is amazing that the mountain where the V-2s were made still had enough spares left, after the war, to launch so many missles. I am glad the Germans made it to our side and helped us start NASA in 1958.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukJg0Yr3EpM

Trust me, once you might all read the book, I promise, I think it might perceptibly alter your impressions of their supposed "brilliance", and the TRUE cost that attended it, honest.

I am not trying to be a "wet blanket" here, and understand all that is said here, and oncr thought very much the same way as the plaudits mentioned here, honest. However, nevertheless, I would very seriously recommend a quite little known book on the subject that is absolutely integral to REALLY understanding what ACTUALLY happened during the TRUE atrocities at Peenemunde, the book Dora, by Jean Michel , who received the U.S. Medal of Freedom as a member of the French Maquis and was a prisoner there. I found the book most illumimating as to what those ostensibly "brilliant" rocket scientists there REALLY did, by someone who apparently saw pretty much ALl of it. I can assure you all that I think the book might positively take some of the "glow" off their later much-vaunted contributions; it very much did for me, honest, or please do believe !e, I would not commend the book to all of you here.
