Don't know how the Corp is now, my question is does she get the same treatment as the males. when I was in I came through the school of hard knocks. they didn't not show mercy.

It appears as if the assignment to infantry and special ops-type positions will be based on the person first volunteering then passing all the criteria, tests, etc to be admitted. While the argument about different physical standards for men and women still goes on, limiting membership to volunteers will help better ensure that only the most motivated and otherwise qualified folks make it through the screening. No woman has yet passed Marine Corps Advanced Infantry Officers Course, although it is open to volunteers. Women have to volunteer for and pass the infantry training course to be further assigned. This is a much better scenario than force-feeding women into slots based on the needs of the service with no consideration of the individual's gender or desires, and then weeding them out in large numbers.

If a woman can do the same job at the same place hooya!!! Just don't ask for special treatment my 80 lb ruck was tough to hump!
But the real issue is is th American public ready to see its daughters on a battle field tore up like the men in combat?

So was I, but the fact is, the American people are not ready to see or hear of females being ripped apart on a battlefield. They are ok with females in support but not direct combat. I say , if a woman wants to be a grunt, rock on and Amen!

We’ve already had several women killed in combat. There was no revolt. Only sorrow at their loss!
