to me the main reason this should happen is because a weaken Supreme court is a bad thing. we need the court to be fully manned so that it can fulfill its function and determine constitutional questions once and for all.

Churchill was using the idea of participatory government to mean Democracy as a rather generic term not a definition.

I will concede that we could be defined as a Democracy, but even Monarchies can be considered Demoracies if they contain parliaments.
