CPO Andy Carrillo, MS CPT (Join to see) LTC Stephen F. SMSgt Minister Gerald A. Thomas The paperwork I had to sign as part of my Top Secret clearance referred to prison was possible on the first infraction especially if it involved troop movements or unit readiness.
We conducted everything above secret in a secure SCIF or protected facility on equipment on a closed secured network or stand alone not connected or near unsecure devices.

CPO Andy Carrillo, MS I too am glad that I left the military in 2008 when I hit my mandatory retirement date. While what information is legitimately classified as Top Secret differs between DHS, DoD and DoS, release or compromise of Top Secret information threatens the United States security in the near term [either at home or abroad]

I'd have to agree with Obama on this; when I was deployed, I got a lot of junk on SIPR that should never have been on there. DFAC menus and movie schedules, for example.
It would have been understandable if there wasn't a functional NIPR in place - but there was.
