Daughter of dead ISIS commander surrenders to Kurds, says she escaped coalition bombs

Marwa Khalili Waisi, daughter of Khalil Ali Waisi who was the ISIS military commander in the town of Hawija in Kirkuk province before being executed by the terrorist group itself, said that bombardments by the US-led coalition and shortages of electricity and fuel had forced her to flee.
She surrendered to Peshmerga forces.
"Before there were kerosene and electricity, but now there are no such things -- all gone," The mother of four, who was married to a physician, said she had always intended to escape Hawija, but had stayed because of her father’s links to ISIS – or Daesh, as the group is known in Arabic."I always intended to flee Hawija and come to Kirkuk, but my father was against that saying 'I am Daesh, if you go, Kurds will harm you'," she said.
Hopefully she will provide useful information.
This is a psychological blow to ISIL, having their women flee. If she had been caught she would have been executed.

I often was in targeting meetings at FOB Warrior as a Liaison Officer for 2-116 Cav BDE in place of my Cav Bn Xo or the S3 when Al Hawija, as it is really called, by Kirkuk and a town that our Civil affairs teams and infantry had a hard time penetrating the mantle of the heavy grip of saddam retirees had on the town and its civilian leadership. It was a high ranking- officer military retiree type of town that had a big good- old -boy- network similar to the 'goodfellas' and we got nowhere with them. Al Hawija could never be pacified and their leadership was untrustworthy. No surprise this Sunni- dominated town went to ISIL.
