if you watch the video of the attack he doesn't just punch him, he stands above him and continues to beat him when he is down. if he doesn't lose rank over this, then i smell something fishy is going on in this guys CoC. regardless of current rank or political affiliation, if your soldier/airman whatever assaults someone, all hell should be brought upon the SM. if i was this guys NCO i would be doing back flips to get my point across how mad i would be
