The guilty generally do everything they can to discredit whistleblowers in order to save themselves.

Incredible! It's crazy how some VA facilities run/work like a well oiled machine while others are the pits of the earth.

It is a disgrace how this issue is being thrown under the rug, while our veterans continue to suffer for the VAs incompetence. What message does this send to our young Americans? Why would they want to join our armed forces knowing the VA and politicians will go back on their word of taking care of them?

I think about that a lot. What is the incentive? It's sure not the money. Sure your medical is paid for while in, but what about when you get out? The VA is thete for you, if you can get an appointment, and if you can get in the system before you die. Somethings gotta be done soon. One of the first things I can think about is having a caring, understanding, honest POTUS and staff. Well, Hell, never mind. What was I thinking?

It's should not be that much to ask of our POTUS, politicians, and the VA to keep their promise to take care of our veterans; it should be a given, SGT Keith Bodine!
As veterans, we must keep fighting for future our future veterans. I know firsthand the frustrations, disappointment, and hopelessness veterans feel when dealing with the VA system, as I am sure you have. We must make sure our veteran brothers and sisters gain the knowledge and knowhow to deal with the VA system. Maybe it's time we veterans unit, stand up for our rights, and demand our POTUS and politicians reform the VA. Us veterans need to demand representation on the VA board, commission or whatever organization the VA uses to determine policy, procedure, and employee discipline reviews. Maybe the major national veteran organizations could appoint one member of their organization to serve a four year term. The veterans need a bigger voice in order improve the VA system.
