I think that the employees chose where they work, and if they feel that they are being abused, they can vote with their feet.
Sounds like millennial schadenfreude to me.
"My boss is so mean to me!" Expecting them to work and stuff.
Meh.

That gave me my laugh of the day. I also learned a new word today.

I am not a fan of this at all. I did work at Wal-Mart as an Assistant Store Manager. It is a very challenging place to work but they could go on to do better things. I have seen some there excel and move on to bigger and better things. I would really question the workforce in a lot of situations. I had employees with close to 30 absences in a year. That is insane. Yet they want a raise. Nope. When you come to work you are going to work. Some don't. I have had some great employees that would work to their potential and some that was there just waiting for a check from walmart. The management do make a nice living but employees can be managers. If they applied for the management program they could be there too. I am a fan of starbucks. They have a great college program to where they pay for their employees college. Some jobs do suck but they are not meant to be a career. If one thinks they are going to be successful simply by pushing carts in a parking lot then they are going to find that they aren't going to make it. They never blame themselves. The employee gets the rap.

" Some jobs do suck but they are not meant to be a career." Very well said, CPT (Join to see). And very true. I tell my boys, when you start out in the work force, don't work just for the paycheck. Pay close attention to the managers and employees (good and not so much) and learn from all of them. I tell my boys, two things will make you successful in life, job and business, leadership/people skills and problem solving.
