SPC (Join to see) - Women don't have an equal opportunity to survive or succeed in combat against men who want to kill them since they have lighter skeletons, less muscle mass, aerobic capacity, endurance etc. than men.

Sgt Jude Eden Thank you. You are absolutely correct that women do not have the equal opportunity to survive in combat. Unfortunately, under pressure from women's groups, the Obama Admin has seen fit to force our military to allow women into all combat/special operations units and has even gone so far as to forcing the Marine Corps to make boot camp co-ed, none of which are good ideas. I guess a lot of us are thinking that if we are going to treat women completely equally, they should have to register for the draft. It's only fair.

Sgt Jude Eden - you are very correct, that issue has been blow over from pressure of women right groups. I wish people would realize this. With that being said since they are being allowed in combat arms, i still believe they should have to register for the draft.

Very true. Registration is very different from being drafted. December 1972 saw the last man conscripted and reported for duty in June 1973.

BTW interesting article on Chief Warrant Officer 5 Ralph E. Rigby and his retirement as the last continuously serving draftee (42 years of service).
