Oh Yeah. Definitely an Attention Getter when I put in what I've done in the Military and being a lot of it was for what could be considered a Civilian Organization in the DOD it's really not weighed down with a lot of Military Jargon, More Professional, Technical Jargon. 21 Years as a Communications Security Specialist for the National Security Agency that just happened to wear a Navy Uniform most of the time.

As military personnel we take for granted the skills that make us successful. Being a self starter, show up on time with the correct equipment and attitude for success.

I think ACAP does a good job of letting exiting service-members translate their military jobs into a language civilians can understand.
