If he is punished retroactively. This will politically clear the administration to indicte Hillary without being criticized....

Should he? It depends. What was in his plea bargain? I highly doubt the option to take away a star was not mentioned in his bargain.

Personally? No. I don't think they should. Why? The timing of this seems very odd. The whole entire incident seems odd. I still suspect Petraeus was purposely burned. Granted, what he did was wrong. He was punished accordingly. He lost his job as director of the most powerful spy agency in the world. He almost went to jail. If they wanted to take away a star, they should have done it at the time and not waited.

Of course, if Hillary is indicted I might reconsider my stance. But until she is held accountable for doing far worse, I can not agree with these actions against Patreaus. Afterall, his leaks had little if any effect on national security. Hillary ran an unsecure server out of her house.

Absolutely. While General Petreaus was a four star he failed to safekeep classified info and engaged in an extramarital affair--hardly the type of leader who deserves the benefit of that rank/pay.
