My only "heartburn " is the word Vietnam..... Why is my TRAUMA as a Vietnam veteran any more important or different than the Korean veteran..... the Grenada veteran..... the Iraq veteran.....ANY DAMN VETERAN WHO PAID HIS DUES

Just read. This is the Rally Point. Yet, the demons of that damn war continue to probe and attack. Demons continue with all the wars before and all the wars after. The demon's watch, wait and can be in all manner of forms, words, dreams and shapes.
When death smiled at Marines we smiled back. Some that sacrificed all smiled and spit in death's eye. Veterans sometimes feel the guilty relief we made it. But the demons have followed us. Exactly as the enemy followed us. The demons have learned all the weak points and avoid the strong points of the Veterans that are left. Remember all the Veterans the enemy could not kill but died after returning to the land of the big PX over run by demons.

Cpl Gabriel F. - I write for a newspaper.....I once wrote... "All of us who fought in Vietnam .... DIED THERE....it just takes some of us longer to fall down"..... no one but those of us who stared death in the face know what I mean....

Cpl Gabriel F. - See "Shooting Ghosts" by TJ Brennan. I have a published article which highlights the many ghosts they are haunted by. I refer to it as the "Dark Beast".

Thanks for highlighting the issue of Vietnam Veterans who have suffered in silence in many case for decades after they were vilified after returning for the war COL Mikel J. Burroughs
Hopefully this series will help bring peace and closure to some veterans and more importantly ignite compassion on the part of most of those who vilified Vietnam vets as a group for so long.

This is a great thing, to show the impact of the human capital during war.
