Tamara Fields is suing Twitter for allowing ISIS to use it as a platform to spread propaganda. Ms. Fields husband was killed as a result of the actions of a suicide bomber in Jordan.
“Without Twitter, the explosive growth of Isis over the last few years into the most-feared terrorist group in the world would not have been possible,” says the complaint filed on Wednesday in the federal court in Oakland, California.

I can understand her frustration and anger, but all that is still covered under the 1st Amendment. We can not hold third parties responsible for other peoples actions, where would it stop? If that were the case, someone could sue the internet and almost every company EVERYDAY! I hate ISIS just like everyone else, but Twitter is not responsible for the death of this lady's husband.

They assert that the company is violating U.S. law by aiding and abetting the enemy through providing innocuous support.

CPT (Join to see)l, How many lawsuits prevailed? What was the plaintiffs award? There are so many social networks where you can get information on anyone. Yahoo is one of the worst about divulging personal information. I hope the Anti-Terrorism Act helps this woman. The Jihadists have several websites, and they are protected. I can't see this lawsuit going anywhere. I hope I'm wrong.

SGT (Join to see) - One I am aware of: The PLO was found guilty of supporting terrorist attacks by a Federal Jury and ordered to pay $218 million to victim's families. I'm sure there are others. The ones I sited in this post have not yet gone to court.

I don't think ANY sites should be allowed to spread ANY kind of hate. Be it ISIS, the Klan, our ANY other organization. Platforms like this does not help. Anyone that thinks ANY different is just, well, duh!
