Marine Veteran Dustin Batson served in the storied 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines. He left active duty in 2008 and after trying on the reserves and college decided on his own path. Years back I opened a pool hall outside of Fort Huachuca in the mid 90s.
It was a lot of work and you could not be an absentee owner.
Employees can be very liberal with the owners booze working for tips

I opened a Franchise Smoothie Bar & Nutrition center in 2004. Had a great run for several years, grew to 3 stores and over 40 employees! Loved it! Hung in until Nov 2010. Watched 36+ stores in our community close before we did. My husband wants to open another Smoothie Bar again. Not me. Liking the home based biz model with low overhead & no employees.
