Well SSG I personally don't have a problem with it. But if women are allowed to hold the same MOS as me. They should be required to register for the draft. Take the same PT test I do. Basically be held to the same standard as myself and all other males in the military.
I'm sure there are woman out there that can keep up with the males. But the majority of the ones I have talked to want nothing to do with the infantry. But with that said now that it is open for all females whether or not they choose to do so. They need to be held to the same standard.

They do take the same PT test you do. And the Draft will never happen again so I don't see the reason behind anyone registering for the selective service. And if you were referring to women being graded on the male scale let's not get crazy with that topic because a female medic and a male medic is graded on their physical capabilities not on the workload of their jobs.

In my battalion the standard was 210, and I'd guess that 90% hit that mark. All our leaders were expected to hit 270, minimum. Most were on extended scale.
I routinely carried rucksacks I'm excess of 100 pounds, several times double that weight. We did runs where we carried each other. It was expected.
The women that do meet the standard will destroy their bodies. Bad joints, stress fractures. Read increased disability claims post service.
If POGs get pregnant, it slows paperwork at worst. If a female gets pregnant in the infantry it will leave a fire team under strength.
I'd be interested to see the science behind it. Seems telling you me that the Marines only partially released the study. This will be a disaster for our military.

I see this as a great opportunity but also a great disaster. There are VERY few women who could actually make it on the front end and do what men do. Example, pulling a 250lb man/woman out of the line of fire, after being wounded. Very unlikely for a woman. Also, letting emotions get in the way. Believe it or not, some females actually learn this happen! It concerns me greatly. Hopefully there will be many many requirements for the women wanting to be on the front line and we hold them to the EXACT standards we hold males to, not this "scale" crap.

Seriously??
You make females look bad. If you cant do those things as a female i believe you shouldn't be in.
Dont use the emotions bullshit. Those females have low standards for themselves then. Most men cant even do that.
Women like you make it hard for women like me to succeed. I hit male standards on every pt test, ruck time, fucking qual expert on every weapon. And i know plenty of women just like me.

Who are you to judge me? I passed every PT test on MALE 18-21 standards as well as expert qual on weapons and ruck time. Maybe you should RE READ BEFORE JUDGING!!!! God bless you. Thank god your name is blocked.

I never had low standards for myself I went above and beyond so I could be useful when the time came. I was stating I don't think SOME females can handle this position. Reading comprehension bud.

Apparently she a) lacks reading comprehension skills and b) she doesn't have the faintest clue about what you're speaking about. Clearly she is in the EXTREME minority if she really can meet all those standards. And c) just because there is a small percentage of women who CAN meet the standards, doesn't mean it's a good idea. I'm sick and tired of the Military being used as a social studies experiment. Thank God I'm retiring soon.
