That reminds me of the joke about the people in a hot air balloon who became lost and descended over a parking lot to ask where they were. A man standing next to his car shouted to them "You are approximately fifty feet above the ground" then got in and drove away. One balloonist turned to the other and said, "That man's a lawyer. What he said is precisely true and totally worthless." I could say the same for PMBOK (a manual I have been critical of in the past).
