I am currently a IRR LOG Officer and I am trying to go to PME at the end of the summer and try to find a new unit closer to home if I can. The problem is I have been cut off from my email now that the new virtual desktop came online. I tried to set it up in my PC but it said I do t have a valid certificate, but I can access just about everything else except unit vacancy searches. My question is should I go to DEERs or should the IRR handle it. I am trying to figure out the best way to fix my issues quickly. And...... if anyone knows of any LOG openings in the Maryland Region please pass them along if you could Thank you

The short term fix for you is to use your DS Logon credentials* instead of your CAC and you'll be able to use the vacancy search (screenshot attached for 90A CPT positions shown as vacant in MD).
Most things you'll do are through the IRR section at HRC* as IRR Soldiers are not authorized a CAC* (they get the standard USID) unless a contracted cadet, in the health professions scholarship program, or on active duty orders over 30 days, so unless you're in one of these categories your CAC shouldn't be active.

* This is assuming you have verified your DS Logon account - if not, follow the link and do so.
* HRC IRR section - https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Individual%20Ready%20Reserve%20(IRR)%20Homepage
* USID Eligibility - https://www.cac.mil/Next-Generation-Uniformed-Services-ID-Card/

Thank you for this information. I will have to verify everything. In truth I am thinking about just going back to drilling. IRR has been a pain in the rear.
