I was, I am and I will always be a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman. I joined the Navy to be an HM and proudly served her as such for 27 years; at sea, ashore and overseas. We were a part of a very proud tradition. When the call went out "Corpsman, we answered without hesitation. We earned the right to be called "Doc" and we took care of our shipmates. This is the heritage of the Navy Hospital Corpsman and no one is ever going to take that away from us.

The really idiotic part is that the suffix "man" refers to huMAN, not a gender. I guess woMAN and huMAN need to be erased from the English language for being gender biased as well...
