Served in various roles while being treated for injuries incurred in the line of duty. Attended the Chattahoochee Valley Community College and finally served as QC with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers prior to military retirement.

Served as a Team Leader, Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant as needed at various times. Deployed with 1/161 twice, once to Iraq and then HOA. Remained in the unit while assigned to the Fort Benning WTB prior to retirement from the military.
