My Army Career has been a very interesting one. Through my career I have been able to grow not only as a person but as a leader. for 4 years I was stationed at Landstuhl Germany in charge of a clinic as a PFC. Worked my way to medical supply and medical equipment maintenance. Then I was transitioned to Schofield barracks hawaii as a line medic in charge of 40 soldiers health and well being. Deployed to Iraq in 2009-2010 with the 57th MP Company. Returned to take over as the 728th MP BN Medic. Deployed to afghanistan to the City of Jalabad. While there I worked with the Afghanistan Red Cross to set up a training site for the Afghan BOrder police medics. Knowing they were not able to get the medical equipment we had we set up the trainig to use what they had readily available. Then moved to Kabul. In July of 2012 I transitioned to FT Jackson MACH. Shortly after my arrival my son was born with a genetic disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. My army chain of command took care of me and allowed me to spend 5 months away from the Army to take care of my child until his passing in April 2010. With the change of events I have opted to get out the Army and open a special needs farm. We will be giving opportunities to special needs kids to include working with farm animals, planting and harvesting and equine therapy. We will offer services to all types of Disability to include. PTSD, Autism, Downs Syndrome, and many others. Going to be an exciting time.
