Bio
I began my career at Hanscom Air Force base in the operational contracting office as a contract specialist. I gained a breadth of experience including purchases in commodities (IT hardware/software, scientific research equipment, etc.), services (transportation services, advisory and assistance services, grounds maintenance, etc.), and construction of all kinds.
Next I was selected to attend the Naval Postgraduate School and earn my MBA with an emphasis in strategic sourcing. I earned my MBA in 18 months and wrote thesis work on the ability of the AF's acquisition systems to meet environmental mandates by various Executive Orders.
After graduating I PCS'd to Wright Patterson AFB, OH to be a part of the Enterprise Sourcing Group, which is now titled the Air Force Installation Contracting Agency. At AFICA I earned my unlimited warrant and I serve as a contracting officer on two programs in the Civil Engineering Commodity Council. Our objective is to identify opportunities to strategically source Air Force Civil Engineering requirements and then develop acquisition strategies to save the Air Force money through rate, process, and demand savings.
In September 2013 I deployed to Kabul Afghanistan where I am a contracting officer with a 10M+ construction portfolio and directly oversee the work of two contract specialists. I am responsible for soliciting, awarding, and administering contracts to support the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Policy as well as construction requirements that support American and Coalition forces.
